For this project, Max was tasked with creating a meta, layered website for their author client, just in advance of the release date of the client’s debut novel. The site introduces the fictional land of Cendrial, as found in the novel, through unique, interactive features, including a cover page teaser; emoji curser with on/off toggle; a pull-down, hidden reveal section; and retro-tech themed shop where readers can pre-order the book. All this was made accessible and passes WCAG guidelines.
The dreamy, fantastical design was inspired by the story within the debut novel. Max also designed a hand-drawn, linocut logo to serve as a press identity marker for the book series.
